Home of Michael and Jane Frederick, of Frederick and Frederick Architects. Their renovated house recently won an award, and was featured in the Southern Living magazine, copies of which arrived the same day we rocked up for two nights of host housing. Images below.
Beaufort is on a river delta that becomes swamp-type stuff as it empties into the Atlantic. The delta is broken into islands surrounded by waterways and swamp lands, some of which have tidal water flows. It is a haven for bugs.
Meridian Road, Beaufort SC.

The main digs of the home is a converted WWII type bunker with a rounded roof and open span.

Sam and I stayed above the garage, in a Whoville like surrounds.

Avery and Vero stayed in the other upstairs digs:

Digs were joined by covered walkways, in an open plan format where the outside and inside intertwine.
